Long-distance move from Knoxville, TN to Orlando, FL

STAY WAY - Choose A Real Moving Company.

I am surprised to see this company is still in business after so many negative reviews and even being called out on the local Orlando news as a fraud/scam. My move was the end of August 2018 and when I arranged this move, the main requirement was my items to be delivered on September 1. I didn't care when they needed to pick up my stuff, as long as it was delivered on September 1. I was assured of that and it was placed in the documents that I signed. They said they were going to pick up on August 29th but then changed that to August 30th. The pick up date and time kept changing and we were scheduled to leave to drive from TN to Fl on the 31st. I kept getting excuses like the truck broke down, the driver had gone over his allowed driving hours and had to stop, they got delayed with another move, etc. They didn't get my stuff picked up until August 31st and I asked how they were going to deliver them the next day on September 1 b/c that was what I signed and was agreed to. They told me they weren't. The truck and drivers had to go to Virginia and the Carolinas, and then to Jacksonville, FL before they could deliver my stuff. We wound up in a hotel for 5 nights, our dogs were boarded for 5 nights and we didn't get our stuff until September 5th! Then when it arrived, a lot of it was damaged. Nothing was wrapped in blankets in the truck. It was obvious my furniture and items had been moved from one truck to another probably several times. It was a mess. I decided not to file a claim for the damage b/c they would only pay pennies for it.
At the time, I filed a dispute against the deposit which I used for the deposit. I then requested a refund and then they turned around and accused me of stopping payment on the cashiers checks! They don't take any responsibility at all for their lies, damage, and one of their drivers actually stole a TV out of the house that I was moving out of and denied it.
If I had it to do over again, I would have hired labor and loaded up a Uhaul truck and driven my stuff myself. Hired labor to unload it and never dealt with these people. It would have been cheaper to do it myself and my stuff wouldn't have gotten damaged and I would have had my items when I needed them.

Zero stars - not attentive to customers.

This is not "Mover Dudes of VA" who have the true good reviews that this company hijacks! Moving Dudes, LLC even answered as "Mover Dudes." They get one star because our stuff did get here, eventually. Salesmen (Joseph, Eric) promised things and "educated" us on cross-country moves with promises & follow up calls. The contract did not reflect these promises (ex: your items will be placed on a truck and that same truck will show up at your new home--no extra move to a storage area), but when I called it to their attention, they assured us that the legal language was required and actual practice was different. (I know - in our naivety, we trusted them.)
After signing & paying the deposit, service went to the bottom. Every call was put off with "we'll check and call back," but they didn't - MANY times. Pickup date took 2 weeks to get and then was a "window" of "Fri, Sat or Sun," and we'll call a day in advance. They didn't. On Saturday, Steve called to say "we can't get there until WEDNESDAY..we'll knock off a few hundred for the inconvenience." They did NOT adjust the price and they did not even pickup--they hired an entirely different company to do it!! But they didn't warn us, so imagine our surprise when another company showed up in the driveway! Again, no advance call that they were coming. I had to call them to ask why nobody was there 15 min. before the end of the "pickup window time" and they still did not mention it would be another company arriving.
Perhaps if they were honest about it being 4 weeks to receive our stuff, we could have packed accordingly - instead, they made it worse by promising 10 days! Then they still couldn't give us delivery dates any time we called. Finally, an email gave us a date, but too many lies didn't lead to us trusting that information. Their excuse was that they "have grown like crazy lately and added new trucks." Salespeople blamed customer service who "couldn't keep up." Good companies don't blame or refer to contract language, fellas.
If you want payment in money order, we need more than a 30-min. advance call from the driver, whose truck was literally marked by handwriting on the side! One of the movers said he was hired via Craigslist. The damage done on delivery has never been addressed.
We believe they rely on your common decency to scam you, but they have very little themselves. DO NOT USE!!

Long-distance move from Miami Beach, FL to Atlanta, GA

Mover Dudes is awesome!

My recent move from Miami to Atlanta was such an awesome experience! Moving is always very stressful. When I recently received a job offer, I was very excited but then uh oh, moving, ugh. I called around to a number of local movers that also do long distance. I got a number of estimates. Mover Dudes has a meet or beat policy. They only use the most reputable, large van lines as acceptable comparisons, to their meet or beat policy. I ended up choosing Mover Dudes! Eric was such a great sales person to deal with. He explained long distance moving, in detail. I hadn't moved long distance before. He went over every detail, from the pick up window, to the delivery window. Since I had a large home, he also explained what services were available to me, in regards to packing. I ended up spending a bit more, for a full pack. This included all of my breakables, wall hangings and furniture. They brought boxes, shrink wrap and blankets. Everything was packed perfectly! I was truly impressed! I wasn't moving cross country, but Eric explained everything so well, I understood it could take a while, before my items would arrive. I was able to prepare, by packing specific personal items, that I would need daily, till my household goods arrived. When the moving team arrived in Atlanta, I was thrilled! They unloaded the truck, not a single item was damaged! The guys were awesome! I treated them to pizza, for a lunch break. It was an all day event. That night I slept like a baby, in my new home! Thank you so much Mover Dudes! I would highly recommend them!

Disastrous Service.

Referring to Mover Dudes in Deerfield Beach/Pompano Beach here:

What a disaster!! After waiting for more than 2 months to “finally” have our stuff delivered, we received a delivery missing more than $3500 worth of our stuff. The excuse as to why our stuff wasn’t delivered with any kind of timeliness in the first place was, “we don’t have any trucks going in that direction!” Of course this possibility of delayed delivery wasn’t mentioned verbally or in writing during the sales portion of our transaction. So after they failed to deliver much of our goods the first time, and after we again had to wait for well over a month, we finally received another shipment. Sadly, this time the shipment was still missing more than 70% of our goods. So finally, our only recourse, per their rules, was the filing of an insurance claim for the lost goods. And then, even though my wife was able to produce pictures and receipts, the “so called” claim processors still “had to” go through Mover Dudes in order to process our claims (instead of an independent party who could hold MD accountable based on evidence). In the end, after the maximum amount of allowable appeals, we were told we would only be awarded a $100.

Now, after all that, here’s the kicker/kick in the stomach; the $100 check that we were provided with bounced and costs us an additional $12 bounced/returned check fee. As a person who highly values honesty, professionalism and integrity, this was absolutely the worst consumer experience I’ve had in my entire life!

RUNN!! DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY!! My home goods were picked up June 21, 2019 after planning way in advance for my move to Florida booking back in April with Moving dudes! Since pick up seems like nothing but excuses to horrible planning from them!! It’s now almost a month later and I was estimated first drop off window to be June 30.. I have been told a truck broke down and another truck ran into a bridge!! They have NO schedule! I was told another maybe 4-7 days almost every week since I arrived in Florida! I have emails from them confirming my date for delivery only to be told late the night before my stuff has not even been picked up! I am scared how my stuff will arrive if the lack of scheduling is this awful and trucks are breaking down! I have moved from Japan to California to Virginia all with Navy and NEVER EXPERIENCED SUCH UNPROFESSIONAL, NOT helpful service!! ** I will update **.

Mover Dudes/Moving Dudes, Deerfield Florida.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! They are SCAMS and will take your money. They did extensive damage to our furniture when we moved from Arizona to Florida, all of our funiture was covered up in blankets before we left, when we rec'd our furniture, everything was uncovered it was all damaged, scatched, broken and chipped, not to forget that were still missing some property. We called them the next day and they told us they would email a claim form to us to filled out, which we did and submitted it to Movingclaims.net, also submitted the photos that I took that night the furniture was delivered. So almost 3 months to the day that I submitted the claim, I asked the status on the claim, Mover Dudes/Moving Dudes located in Deerfield, Florida said that we are only go, to get $76.00 dollars, I still have all my documentation going back and forth. They do not have insurance to back up their company they hired "DAY LABOR" people, these people are homeless and drug addicts. An employee from Atlas Vans, a reputable moving company said do not use companies like this, they are only out to get your money. Going the cheap route is not always the best route. If you want your money back you have to expose companies like these to the TV media. Thats the only way.

HORRIBLE treatment towards Active duty.

This company is a fraud. They are scamming a hard working military family. I paid 1800 dollars to be moved to Jacksonville FL. They never showed up on the delivery schedule date but worst then that the broke our new 65” tv, elliptical dented and chip all of our furniture, never delivered our living room couch and they offered us 72 dollar to settle. This is not right in so many levels. I trusted them with my belongings and they ruined them all, not only I lost my stuff to them, I spent money paying them to move and ruined my stuff. This is the worst thing that has happened to my family and I. I can not believe this people will do such a thing. As my husband is getting ready to be deploy this is what they do to us. Is a shame people like this is in business. All they care is about money and they can not do the right thing when they have completely ruined a families belongings. We don’t have money to afford buying everything new again. This is breaking my heart and I can’t belive this people would do this. They are so unprofessional and inhuman. I try to talked to them but they always had an attitude and made us feel it was our fault. Yes our fault was to trusted and hired them.

Do Not Use These Movers!!

The Mover Dudes / The Moving Dudes / Professional Movers (They're all the same criminals) were supposed to move me on 7/7. They called me on the evening of the 6th and said they were having trouble with their truck and may be an hour or so late in the morning. The morning of the 7th, I received numerous phone calls from them saying they were running late. Then at 11:00, I received a call saying they needed to reschedule for 7/8. UNACCEPTABLE!! But I was left with no choice. They showed up on 7/8, loaded everything up and moved me to central Florida. On the morning of 7/9, I realized that a large painting was missing. I contacted David and a day later, he called me back to say that he had "found" my painting and two other bundles of paintings. (I have not yet figured out what is in these other two bundles because I have not yet finished unpacking to know what else is missing.) This began a series of phone calls and texts that have gone on from 7/9 until today, all giving me one story after another. First they were going to deliver my stuff when they were coming up this way again. Then the date changed. Then they didn't have another job up this way and they were going to FedEx them. Today I asked for VALID FedEx tracking numbers, proving that they shipped them today. I received tracking numbers, but those numbers only show that a label was made. My packages were NOT shipped today. So I contacted BSO and filed a police report.. And I'm posting here. And I will post everywhere else I can think of. And I will file complaints with every agency I can think of to file a complaint with. Bottom line: DON'T USE THIS "COMPANY." They are thieves.

A Nightmare Company to Deal With..stay Away!

HORRIBLE company to deal with. They have snake oil sales man promising you the world when they want you to make your deposit. They deserve zero stars. They claimed to be better and different from other moving companies and that they care about the reviews their customers leave, yet, they don't keep their word. It is a systemic issue on how they prey on ripping people off, I contacted the owner Jason Price via LinkedIn to express my dissatisfaction with his staff back on Sept. 27th and it is now 11 October as of this review and have yet to hear anything from Mr. Price. They shouldn't even get 1 star, very frustrating when companies like this can rip people off and get away with it. The original estimator was Eric, a complete incompetent individual that has yet to return any of my calls or even speak to me, but he was my agent. At least Shawn had the courage and decency to "act" as if he cared about how I was getting screwed over.

When Eric did our estimate, he went room by room with my wife over the phone, never in person. He knew it was a 2 story home with a full basement, 3 car garage & a large shed. He estimated the cost to be $5,100. I was told that they do not sell their moves and that their staff would come pick up my household goods and then they would store them at their warehouse in Florida and once ready for delivery to give them 48 hrs notice and they would bring it. Shawn told me that they usually estimate high and that it was possible I would be getting money back. Shawn suggested I Face time Eric so we can go room by room again all the way until 2 days before packing day. I called to set it up with Eric and he never returned my calls. I was also told that a semi-trailer would be picking up my stuff, he joked about calling it the Beast or something and said the entire staff was terrified of the owner and that is what should reassure me that they would do whatever it takes to make me happy and have a great experience.

Fast-forward to moving day, It was not Moving Dudes who showed up to get my stuff, they had contracted it out to Allstate Movers (they promised they wouldn't pawn it off to another company), they showed up in a 26' truck (not the semi-trailer they promised), as soon as the driver walked my house he told me there was no way all my stuff would fit on the truck, that Moving Dudes had estimated my household goods to fit in half of a 26' truck. Again, a 3400 sq. ft. house 2 story, full basement, 3 car garage and large shed, and these incompetent idiots estimated cubic feet for half a 26' truck. I am no professional mover, but even I know that is ridiculous. To add insult to injury, the driver said that if I wanted them to take my stuff that the new price increased to almost $12K, more than half of what Moving Dudes quoted me. I called and spoke to Shawn and asked him to make it right, he had every excuse in the book and that they couldn't do anything. I reminded him that I made the deal with Moving Dudes not Allstate Movers, he kept promising he would see what he can do and that the price they were giving me would be the most I get charged. The movers ended up having to rent a 2nd 26' truck and didn't get done loading them until 4 am the next day. Upon completion, I was told that packing material was more than they had estimated and now the new total was closer to $14K dollars. I again contacted Moving Dudes to ask for help and to please do something. Storage would be in Atlanta. I am not made of money, I am not rich, they claimed to be pro-military and pro-Veteran and I believe because I am a Veteran they preyed on me to rip me off. How can they be so wrong to quote me $5,100 and I am having to end up paying almost $14,000 dollars and they have taken zero ownership in this fiasco.

I am not sure how others give them good reviews, their disregard for the customer, their shady business practices and outright lies are out of control, yet they can continue to operate ripping people off. STAY AWAY FROM THIS GARBAGE COMPANY, PAY A LITTLE MORE AND GO WITH A REAL MOVING COMPANY NOT THESE WANNA BE'S.

The owner takes zero ownership as he has not reached out to me or instructed his staff to make this right, I hope my review helps others not go through what I went through. PLEASE don't use this company, you will regret it.

Horrible customer service!

I'm sure Moving Dudes is good at moving things, but their customer service is terrible! Their sales reps are dishonest and their communication is practically non-existent. They'll treat you with respect until you sign a contract.

I called them to move my belongings across the country based on their glowing reviews and their rating on Consumer Affairs. Sean was the sales rep I spoke with and he insisted he did not need an itemized list because I had previous quotes from other moving companies that estimated the cubic feet. He worked with me on my budget, but when the movers showed up, they were mad that the items I had did not match their itemized list. They tried charging me extra for every item that wasn't on the list. I eventually reached a compromise with the manager, Steve. But that took several hours where the movers were yelling at me over the phone and trying to strong arm me into paying thousands of dollars more.

No one knew what was going on. There seemed to be no communication between the sales team, the dispatch team, and the movers.

Fast forward to a week later, I called to get the status of my move. I just wanted to know if my items were still in storage or in transit or if they had an ETA. I had to call several times to find out information, and each time their agents said things like, "well, we don't have to know that information right now. We have 3 weeks to deliver your items." That's fine! I just want a status update! Or they would say things like, "we're really busy around here so we don't always have time to call the customer back."

I had also asked them for the cubic feet of my items. I have my items separated for two deliveries: storage and home. I told Sean that I needed to know the cubic feet of the items going into storage so I knew what size storage unit to get. He said that would be no problem but never communicated that to the movers. With the whole ordeal when the movers arrived at my house, I forgot to ask them. I had called Steve to ask if he could find out for me. He said he would find out and call me back. He never did. In fact, I had to call him a few times because he kept not returning my calls.

Then today, I finally get a call that my items are being loaded for transit. I ask again if they can tell me the size of my total items going into storage. The gal makes a call and is told no. They refuse to give me the size of my items because something about my estimate and it's my responsibility to find my own storage unit. I explain to the gal who called me (I forgot her name) that I don't know what that has to do with wanting how much space my items take up. She keeps interrupting me and refusing to help me out. I ask her not to interrupt me and to let me explain why what she is telling me doesn't make sense to me, and then she hangs up on me.

I can only hope that the remainder of this move goes well. They have all of my belongings in their hands. I am not sure how they have so many good reviews, but BE WARNED. I will never recommend this company to anyone!

Great movers.

Moving Dudes was a complete surprise! After reading all of the horror stories about other companies I was really apprehensive about this move. The crew was awesome. They came on time, prepared everything with the utmost care, and were out again in no time at all. The same crew delivered my stuff to California . Again, they arrived on time, unpacked what needed to be unpacked and were out of there in no time. They were courteous, friendly, competent and efficient. I would recommend them to anyone.

Beware!

I found this company after doing a general Google search for moving companies. Apparently my search sent out hits to several companies and I was bombarded with calls and texts. I ended up responding to James from this company after he consistently texted and called me. I sent in a deposit and then cancelled the move well within the allotted time frame due to the job falling through which was the reason for the move.. After James found out we were cancelling the move, he was very hard to reach and not as friendly as he was when trying to get our business. I was then handed over to Steve to get the refund and I was told the deposit made on our credit card would be refunded within 5 business days. A week later, I called again because the refund had not shown up and this time Steve told me it was their accounting policy to issue refunds within 21 business days. He had no explanation as to why he told me two completely different time frames. When I asked to speak to the accounting dept., he told me they did not have a phone number. This is the worst customer service I have ever had. Use a well known company with an established reputation and presence in the market.

Do Not Use under any circumstance.

When looking for a moving company I was looking for a reasonable price but more importantly a expedited timeline. I was moving from Florida to Oregon. moving dudes had a reasonable quote but verbally promised me delivery around 21 days. I am now on day 33 and the companies excuse is the contract says 30 days from first available delivery date and excludes holidays and weekends. nothing is definitive in writing on the contract I signed. I was also promised 4 movers would arrive to pack up my house, instead it was 2 and came at great inconvenience to me and my family as they were at the house until 3am the following day. Management has been completely unsupportive, I have had to inquire updates daily as they have lied about delivery now twice. Still I am waiting and now trying to go a legal route and be compensated for my inconvenience. They are awful.

Terrible Experience.

I started working with this company 5 months prior to the scheduled move. In the beginning everything was good. Two weeks before the scheduled move date they advised that they had to move the date up three days which I was okay with. In the next three days I heard NOTHING. All my phone calls were not answered, emails not responded to and they still had my money. The move they finally scheduled was outside the required date of my house closing. The wanted to schedule my move on July 15th which was three weeks from my original date of June 26th. I have yet to receive my money back from the deposit that I provided. They have extremely poor customer service when they cannot fulfill the obligations of their contract. I have several more members to be moving and I will NEVER use this company. Steer clear!!

Do NOT hire!!

It is difficult to even know where to begin in my review of the Moving Dudes. They were shockingly unreliable and their customer service was appalling.

We signed a contract for a full service pack and cross country move of our three bedroom home plus a car. The estimate ended in Cat FaceTiming to show me their facilities and services including: their company trucks with their logos and a well secured (in blankets and plastic wrap) couch, assuring me that they were professionals and they would take care of all our furniture in the same way. She also assured me that they were professional piano movers and that they would crate our piano. I signed this contract with confidence that I had hired professionals who were going to take care of our belongings and make this move an easy experience. I could not have been more mistaken.

Just a few of my complaints:
-They showed up two days outside of the window on our contract.
-Not a single person who showed up that day knew they were supposed to be packing for us.
-Thus the driver showed up (in a truck with a completely different LLC on it) without any packing supplies and was gone for over 4 hrs getting said supplies from the Home Depot that was only 15 minutes away.
-We paid $300 for our piano to be crated. Not one of them knew how to wrap a couch, let alone crate a piano.
-The workers tried to carry untaped and unlabeled boxes out to the truck.
-When I called to inform the office that the people who had shown up were anything but professional I was accused of being discriminatory based on the color of their skin. I had mentioned nothing about skin color.
-I inquired several times about the details of our car being picked up and no one ever followed up with me about it.

But what solidified their unprofessional manner and complete lack of responsibility and customer service is this: Late in the afternoon after I spent hours on the phone trying to get the Moving Dudes to hold up their end of the contract they were still giving us zero confidence that they were going to fulfill our contract and render the services we had paid for. The Executive Administrative Director, Heather, kept trying to use the contract to explain away my grievances.

In an effort to make sure that I was not misunderstanding this contract I had a lawyer look at it. He confirmed I was not being unreasonable in my expectations and he called back the direct number I had been given. She proceeded to spout the same lines of the contract to him. He asked her one simple question in response and SHE HUNG UP ON HIM. When he called back (twice) we got an automated response that her number was DISCONNECTED and could not be reached. He called another number and asked to be connected to the person who could resolve this nightmare. James was put on the line and before my lawyer could say anything James said “We are refunding the money. We are passing on this move.” My lawyer asked him his last name so he could know who he was talking to and James refused to give his last name. Again, an astonishing lack of professionalism.

Afterwards I get an email from Heather that is a “receipt” of the refund (which has NOT actually been refunded, and it has been 3.5 weeks now) and an attempt to place responsibility of this fiasco on ME with an explanation of their efforts to “satisfy you beyond your agreement” and their “deep regret” that things had to take this turn. Nothing they did in any way shape or form went beyond our agreement in a positive way. She also expressed they had “no desire to communicate with you through your lawyer before rendering any services.” It was precisely because they had rendered no services that I was so frustrated and that a lawyer needed to be involved! They promised a professional move with a professional company and we got no such thing.

I hope there is someone out there who will heed my warning, learn from my mistake and avoid the Moving Dudes LLC at all costs.

Avoid This Company at All Costs.

Negative stars review if possible. AVOID this company at all costs.

We where quoted one price by phone to move my belongings from storage into my house and when they came to deliver, they wanted more money and cash only.

After speaking with the very rude "manager/owner" he stated that his invoice was correct and the quoted price was wrong. No point in trying to drive common sense on a manager that is rude and hangs up the phone on the customer and their employees. The manager would not bulge on a $109 price difference from the original quote nor was willing to work me me on a happy medium.

After three more calls with him, he got worst and took my belongings back and wanted to still charge his more expensive fee but now additional fees because he was not able to deliver to me.

This company is right now holding my belongings hostage and extorting more money for them. I have already started an small claims court proceeding and spoken to a lawyer. Too bad for the manager that a workable $109 price difference would turn into more costs for him in the long run.

On the positive side, the driver and mover where very professional and understanding, too bad they work for a company with questionable non-consumer oriented business practices.

RUN FROM THIS COMPANY AND AVOID THEM LIKE THE PLAGUE.

Do Not Use These People!!

On May 31st, we received a moving contract from Cat Rivera of MOVER DUDES for the amount of $2000. On May 31st, we also received a moving estimate from Richard Caveney of MOVER DUDES for the amount of $2000. We were told that the movers would arrive on either Sunday, June 30th or Monday, July 1st. We called the entire week before our moving day and could not get a hold of anyone until the day before the move. We were told that the movers would arrive between 10am and 2pm on Monday, July 1st. At 9:13am, I received a phone call that the movers were knocking on our door and that if no one answered, they were going to leave. My MIL went outside and there wasn’t any movers nor a moving truck. They called back and said that they had the wrong address and that they would arrive around 1pm. They did not show up until 2:40pm. Once they arrived, they were now US MOVERS and no longer MOVER DUDES. I went from communicating with an entity in Florida to an entity in Texas. US MOVERS stated that they would not move any boxes until they were paid $500 more in cash. They stated that they were only moving the furniture on the furniture inventory list. No one from MOVER DUDES asked us how many boxes we had, we were just told that we had to package everything ourselves to maintain the agreed upon amount of $2000. My MIL was beside herself crying, being 67 years old, she felt as though she was being dealt with very rudely by the movers. She had already sent a check for $750 to MOVER DUDES in Florida. She had a check written out for $650 to give to the movers once everything was loaded and another check for $650 once everything was unloaded. At 5:12pm, the movers stated that they would load everything and that they would drive from Enid, Oklahoma to Dallas, Texas, and spend the night in Dallas. They then stated that they would leave July 2nd at 5am and drive from Dallas, Texas to Houston, Texas to my house and drop off all of the belongings. It is now July 2nd at 9pm at night. I have called multiple phone numbers and I keep getting the run around. I am being told by someone in McKinney, Texas that they are holding all of my MIL’s belongings until her check clears. Then I am being told by someone in Florida that the driver is en route to my house and will call me when they get close. I have nothing left to assume but that all of my MIL’s belongings are STOLEN!! Here are the phone numbers that I have called today:

Terrible.

I wish there was an option for zero stars. Scam- don’t use this company and do “not” trust anything they say. They told us they would be at our house on Wednesday and didn’t show up. They promised they would be at our house on Friday and went silent until I contacted them. They then informed me the driver is stuck somewhere else’s and want make it until Saturday. Which ended being a lie as well. SAVE YOURSELF SOME STRESS and USE SOMEONE DIFFERENT! We had to scramble to find a reliable company with less than 2 days to move.

Long-distance move from O Fallon, IL to Columbia, SC

They Are a Broker - Basically a Rip Off - Avoid at all cost.

First, do not ever agree to a cubic foot estimate. They control the packing and thus control the price. It’s legal but awful. You will always loose

Now to the company. This company is a broker even though they say they aren’t. If you aren’t in the local Florida area they will have one of their “sister companies” to move you and then basically your contract doesn’t matter. It’s three steps above a scam. Here’s how it works. You pay them a deposit and then they sub your contract out to a different company. They keep your deposit as A finders fee essentially so the company they sub you out to is already behind that amount when they are trying to make money on your move. Their deposit (finders fee) is 20% of the estimate. So now the actual company moving you has no room to negotiate. And then the companies they sub out to are not exactly stellar. They will write anything you need in the contract and tell you anything you want because they don’t care about your move. They use binding estimate and tariff structures that make it very difficult to know the final price. They gave me an estimate without seeing my house and they told me they wouldn’t need to see it even though I asked them to. Then when moving day came they wanted a new estimate for double the cost of my estimate. Avoid at all cost.

Do Not Use Them.

Worst moving experience of my life. They failed in every aspect of this move. Even from the initial pickup they failed to plan/coordinate/resource this move. They had to coordinate last minute for a local company to get my stuff, despite me calling them several times more than two weeks out to remind them. My goods then sat with that company for the next 15 weeks while I was repeatedly lied to about when they would deliver my items at my new location. They were quick to ask for their money but never paid the local company. I gave them a five weeks heads up for when I was looking for delivery. From that point on it was just excuse after excuse of why they couldn’t complete the one job their company is supposed to do-move things. I have an entire text message chain where I was lied to by James about the delivery of my goods. I am now flying out to my old location, renting a U-Haul, paying the local company for storage, and doing the move myself. Still have not been reimbursed by the company. By far the worst moving experience of my life. I would be shocked if this company does not go under in the next six months. You will not get your money back. Do not move with them.

Long-distance move from Arlington, VA to Vero Beach, FL

Do NOT use this company under any circumstances.

I wish negative stars were possible !! This move was emotionally draining and the most disgusting experience.
I'm sorry but this company is dishonest and the worst moving company I have ever used. They are liars (without exaggeration) and completely dishonest crooks. It took them 6 weeks to deliver my belongings. When they finally delivered them, there was massive breakage. They lost parts to my bed which I have never recovered. (They promised they would ship them to me, they never did) I could go on and on. I filed complaints with BBB, called the police. There isn't any aspect of my move that they haven't lied about. Now they owe me $240.00 which they promised to pay, and again, they lied. I am going to court to get this refund back. Their drivers, packers are unprofessional and ask for tips. They do not pack properly. I paid extra for packing service, it was a joke. They do not respect your belongings. The sales people and customer service are horrendous and complete liars. Spend a few more bucks and get good service with an honest company with integrity. As per the other reviews, I also dealt with a James, I'm sure the same one, and a Liz in customer service. Half the phone #'s are disconnected, it is difficult, if not impossible to reach anyone ! My ordeal is not over as now I have to go back to court to get my $240.00 refund as they breached the contract.
Lying and deceiving up until the very end.

Long-distance move from Wilmington, DE to Destin, FL

Wonderful Move.

The mover dudes did a very good job on my move. The beginning was the most stressful. Packing and setting it up was overwhelming. I had sooooooo many boxes. I also had sooooo many calls. I don't know which one was worse. I only went with mover dudes initially because they were the last ones to call me. Im glad I did I just didn't want to end up a horror story. They weren't the cheapest either but I couldn't just take anymore calls. They gave me a 24 hours customer service phone number which I used once to last minute change the dates. They did great and I couldn't be happier.
